ABOUT US

The Dance Studio is a dance school based in Winchmore Hill, London, N21 offering excellent training in Royal Academy of Dancing (RAD) Ballet, Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) Modern and Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop and Street Jazz.  The Dance Studio was established in 1983 by Loraine Grayston and moved to new studios in 1995.  The Principals of The Dance Studio are Denise Coxon, Sarah Cenci and Sophie Muscat and we offer a happy and friendly environment for your children to thrive in as well as maintaining a professional and disciplined approach.  Dance is not only extremely fun but promotes well rounded and confident individuals who are encouraged to reach their own individual potential.  Whether you are a complete beginner or want to extend or further your training, we have classes to suit, from Baby to Advanced, there is something for everyone.  All our classes promote co-ordination, confidence and physical development.  We teach our pupils the love and enjoyment of dance and we have no greater pleasure in seeing a young child blossom and grow in strength, posture and personality.


A number of our pupils represent The Dance Studio and compete at Dance Festivals in and around London, many of whom have gone on to success in the Regional and National Finals of the All England Dance Competition.  The Dance Studio has had numerous All England winners.   
We pride ourselves in continually having the best all round training in the area which has enabled numerous pupils to go on to further train at The Royal Ballet School, English National Ballet School, Elmhurst School, The Central School of Ballet, Arts Ed, London Studio Centre and Bird College to name but a few and some of them are either now performing or running their own dance schools locally or further afield.  Many of our pupils have gone on to appear in the West End or dance commercially with some of the biggest names in pop.   Having said that many of our pupils begin at 3 and stay with us right up until 18 when they go off to University.
