FABULOUS FEET 2024 We are very excited that FABULOUS FEET will return in 2024!
What is Fabulous Feet? This is our School show and will include all classes from Primary upwards plus Acro. The children will learn dances in their classes during the Spring term and up to May half-term. They will then rehearse and perform at Millfield Theatre. The timetable will change to accommodate these classes and for those who do not want to participate, we will endeavour to arrange classes around this.
What is the commitment? If you decide to participate, then the children will need to attend all classes during the term AND be available for ALL Rehearsals and Shows. If the children are on holiday or are unable to be present for all Rehearsals and Shows at the Millfield Theatre during half-term (28-31 May 2024), then, unfortunately, they will not be able to participate.
To be able to run the show, we will also need parental chaperones – this may be helping at rehearsals or performances. We understand parents may be working but it would be great if most parents could do at least one session as without registered chaperones we will be unable to run the show. (If every parent could commit to at least one session, we will have more than enough to run the show).
When is Fabulous Feet? The Show will be held at Millfield Theatre, Silver Street, Edmonton, London, N18 1PJ and will be during May half-term as follows: 28th and 29th May – Rehearsals (all day – allocated slots for certain grades) All children will perform on all days: 30th May – Dress rehearsal/tech run (am) 30th May – 7.30pm show 31st May – 2.30pm show and 7.30pm show.
What is the cost to parents? There will be a £15 show fee per student; - Children will need a costume for each number they are in (if they do tap, ballet and modern, then that will be 3 costumes). However, we always try to keep this to minimum cost and/or utilise something they already have; - Parents will need to purchase tickets to come along to see their children. Children in the whole show will not be able to watch the show, although they will get to see it at rehearsals/dress rehearsal. However, children in one half of the show will be able to watch the other half but will need to purchase a ticket. Depending on the number of children taking part, it may be necessary to limit the number of tickets per family to ensure everyone gets the opportunity to watch their child. We can then put the remainder of the tickets up for sale.
Fabulous Feet is a wonderful experience for both children and parents. We hope as many people as possible will join us – if you have any questions please email [email protected] and once we have collated your responses, we will arrange a meeting when you will be able to discuss any queries in person.
Information will be sent out via email and/or newsletter. Please ensure that you are subscribed.
